It’s been awhile since Nikki has been home, and after being socially and culturally humiliated on national television, she’s looking forward to the trip to the lake with her family back home in Georgia. What she’s not expecting is to find the woman her fiancé cheated on her with to be there, arm-in-arm with her brother, who announces they’re getting married!

Book Cover of Reasons to be Loved by You by Hannah Brown featuring a bright sunny oil painting style landscape with willows in the background and a boat speeding past in the foreground lake.

Assuming the worst, Nikki makes it her mission to make sure her brother doesn’t ruin his life by pledging his life to that home-wrecker, but, of course, we don’t always have the whole story, and the entire family seems to LOVE Cara. Like, a suspicious amount.

Then there’s Nate, Cara’s hot down-home brother she ran into before ever making it to the lake house. He’s dreamy AND he’d on board with her plan to sabotage the obviously insane relationship between their siblings.

The lessons Nikki learns at that lake house will last her a lifetime. Many realizations that must be learned the hard way. And when vacation is officially over, will she be prepared to return to the life she’s been stagnantly living for years? Or is she becoming more than an ex-reality show social media influencer?

Hannah Brown’s book feel, in some X factor sort of way, almost like a throwback romantic comedy. Like My Best Friend’s Wedding or something. That’s what this book reminded me of. It’s good, plenty robust, propulsive, lots to emotionally chew on, complex conflicts, but also easy to read. It doesn’t ask a whole lot of the reader except to sit back and enjoy. That’s what you’re getting with Reasons to be Loved by You.

It’s pretty much a slam dunk.
