Here in middle-America we get some pretty sick storms. Some people dread them, rushing out almost constantly to cover their precious gardens. Some people open up their garage doors and set out camping chairs to experience the awe that is nature from a comfortable position. Others like to chase them.

Chase Me If You Can by Heather Frances Book Cover

Sloane Michaels may be a wedding photographer, but that’s really just her side gig. Her calling is storm photography. Yeah, like super-cell lightning storms and tornadoes. But those only happen in certain conditions, and she has to fund her road trips somehow.

With a new storm photography contest for the cover of a prestigious magazine, she is pinning everything on this being her big break into the professional side of that world, and she knows she can get there. The only thing is, this year she has a passenger: a cocky fellow storm chaser who doesn’t need it half as bad as she does.

Also, he’s smokin’ hot, and they’ve been rivals for years.

Yup, this one’s good. Sloane and Wes on the road is too delicious to miss, but the part that really got me was Sloane’s family drama. She is the center of her family, with her mother depending on her far more than she should, and two brothers who let it always be her problem.

The romance is so tender and spicy, too, for all you freaks out there 🙂 This book is a hit for summer reading, and if you don’t live near tornado-alley, you may even learn a thing or two!

Note:: I received an early copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
