You know that feeling you get when something in your life is out of alignment? Dahlia does. It’s the reason she ends her marriage and yeets it to Spain, where she has some estranged family, but even if they don’t take her in, she’s going anyway. She’s in that liminal space that comes with knowing what you don’t want, but not quite knowing what it is you do just yet.
A juicy travel romance for your summer reading list!

Valencia is a tropical dream. Warm, breezy weather, citrus fruit everywhere, and a grumpy owner of a bar for expats Dahlia can’t quite get a handle on. Does he hate her? Does he like her ideas for marketing his business (what she freelances for work)? And eventually…does he feel the same relentless attraction that she does?
This is a perfect summer book. You can feel the warmth seeping through the pages. Dahlia is lost, but she’s also sure of herself, which doesn’t always come to the best of us in times like these. She knows there is no going back. She knows she’s done the right thing. The next thing is to move forward, and that is the question on the table.
It’s always lovely to read about reconciliations, old wounds exposed in order to heal, unexpected outcomes, and this book incorporates them all. The romance is careful and inevitable. The community, refreshing and hopeful. This is a book sure to lift your spirits and whisk you away to summery Spain, even if only in spirit.
